Scholarship Applications

The mission of the Quillisascut Education Fund (QEF) is to educate people about food, farming, health and the environment. We do this by offering scholarships to culinary students and food professionals who will become spokespeople for healthy and sustainable food systems. Culinary students can enhance their education. Chef instructors can take the message back to the classroom and integrate ideas into their curriculum. Culinary professionals can add information to menus, support local farms and farmers markets, work with seasonal foods, and explore other areas of public outreach (cooking classes, cookbooks, and interviews).

Applicants must meet at least one of criteria below to be considered for financial assistance:

      • Actively enrolled as a student in a Culinary Arts or Baking & Pastry program at a higher education culinary school.
      • Currently working as a Chef Instructor at a higher education culinary program.
      • Currently working in a restaurant or food service establishment.
      • Currently working in the realm of food/farming/nutrition/education in a role that allows them to apply sustainable change in the work place (purchasing, customer education, employee education).
